Laura Dekker rondde zaterdagavond tegen 8 uur (Nederlandse tijd) haar soloreis om de wereld af. Dat meldde Zeilen-redacteur Eric van Statent, die Laura met haar familie tegemoet voer zij toen de haven van Philipsburg op Sint Maarten binnenkwam. Eric zal daar de komende uren op Zeilen.nl over berichten.
Maar ook de wereldpers pakt groots uit over de prestatie van de 16-jarige Laura. Direct na haar aankomst berichtten Associated Press, ABC News, BBC direct over het voltooien van haar wereldreis.
